snoring when pregnant

Post by maria » Wed Jan 14, 2015 4:41 pm

hello, I'm now 7 months pregnant and my partner has very kindly told me for the last few weeks I have been snoring through most of the night. my GP has said it's perfectly normal but I was just wondering if there is any other pregnant ladies out there who have had this problem and what to do about it? or we leave it for another 7 weeks or so and hope it stops then. I've never snored before.

I think that this would be prudent .... and many congratulations to you both.

As long as you are not eating for two and putting on body fat!
I would just wait until the baby is born and see what happens.
Mind you, you will need a lot of energy with a new baby on the go! :?

Thank you,
just for the record, baby Shaun has now arrived 3 weeks early @ 5lb 2oz - and he's absolutely fine :D at the moment I feel I could easily sleep non-stop for a week! snoring update may follow (doesn't seem that important any more) :D :D

Congratulations. Welcome to the world Shaun.

It is still important that you do keep an eye on things though.
Make your partner aware that you might stop breathing during your sleep, if this happens seek advice.
On the other hand, things may return to normal :)
Snoring most can live with a little as long as it is not affecting the other partners sleep.

All the best.

Any problems just drop in again :D

my baby is now 2 months old and actually not too bad during the night. Steve my partner is doing this shift at the moment and I feed him during the day. As for my snoring he says " it's settling down, not as bad as before, so I think we're getting back to normal :) a 'gentle nudge' he says seems to work long enough for him to fall asleep so we're all happy at the moment.

just to say - keeping in touch. We're having another baby due 31st March, but as Shaun was rather early I think I'll be on tenterhooks from about end of feb! All is good though at present and I'd like to keep in touch if that's ok. m :D
