Trying to solve my snoring

Post by myf » Tue Jun 07, 2016 1:27 pm

I've just been to see my GP about my snoring to follow up on my initial appointment 6 weeks ago (where I was prescribed Beconase - it made no difference). I've now been given a different prescription, and the GP told me that they can no longer refer people for snoring due to NHS cutbacks. I don't know if it's a local thing, or national. Does anyone know any more about this?

Prior to my first GP appointment, I tried one of those chin straps and nasal dilators (on their own and in combination) and they didn't help at all either. I sleep on my side rather than on my back, and I'm not sure what else might be worth trying. I seem to snore through both my mouth and my nose. Any suggestions would be gratefully received by both myself and by my other half!
