Tracy,

I've been all over and with all sorts of people with my handy machine and mask. Hopefully you won't have to share a room but if you do then believe me someone would much rather you had your wee bit of machinery (and who can see the mask with the lights off anyway) than you snored in the night!

Don't let a wee bit of embarassment about the machine stop you using it or stop you taking a job opportunity that could expand your horizons. Later on, when you're more comfortable with the situation, you'll kick yourself for letting something that's really so trivial get in the way!

Hope things are going better today!

Cheers

Suse

I'm not going to scold. It IS hard to accept that this is a 'forever' lifestyle change because if you don't use the equipment, you'll be back to a serious risk of heart attack and stroke in your sleep ... or falling asleep at an inappropriate moment with gynormous consequences.

PLEASE TRY AGAIN. And again and again if you need to. New year, new resolution, and every possibility of success. We'll support and encourage in any way we can.

Awww, I've been missed! I'm sorry for the lack of posts guys, but I'm hanging my head in shame. (looks round nervously) I haven't been wearing the old face pack!   Feel free to give me a rollicking guys! I felt that I was sleeping BETTER when the nights were getting longer and darker. Can anyone give me an idea as why i should think that? Maybe, it's because I had been asked if i was interested in a promotion at work. This would mean trips away from home on training courses with other people, and so, I had the idea that I am NOT normal with a CPAP mask, like I'm some kind of pervert!
Got a new senior manger at work. He is a bit of a hard nut when it comes to the job.But I heard that he is a "TroubleShooter", so that must mean my restaurant was in some serious DOO-DOO!
Did everyone have a good Christmas? I didn't as I spent Christmas night and Boxing Day on the toilet, thanks a very dodgy turkey! It was cooked well done, but we think that it wasn't exactly fresh when we got it..... :? :?
Also had a chest infection before Christmas, so went to the Doc's (didn't see my usual GP), who decided to check the old blood pressure. Not content with testing me once or twice, the so and so decided to get a reading FOUR times. Talk about "White Coat Hypertension"! So now I am on Tablets(An ACE inhabitor and direutic). Talk about taking the pea....I'm feeling blue cause when I nose in the food cupboards, I think everything is poison!! :( :(
Got really excited when "Auntie Beeb" decided to broadcast a programme regarding several volunteers with sleep problems. ("Goodnight Britain"-did anyone else see it?) Got really excited when the first part was shown, waited for the second one, and missed it!!!! Yes, there were a couple of snorers (both male-how sexist!), one of which the doctors (advising on the programme ) felt was Apnoiec. I wanted to sit hubby down in front of the box and ask him which snoring was similar to mine... :-x :-x
Anyway, I've been jabbed in the ribs everynight with "You're snoring". I find myself on my back. Well, I had a bad night , I couldn't get to sleep and do you know what he did? Yes, He SNORED! Cheeky clucker! I managed to record him, but since I 've got a cheap phone, the sound isn't good. Well, I can look for the digital camera and some fresh new batteries....Revenge is a dish best served on YouTube!
Just suffering from an impromptu "snow day", so my youngest is running around the living room, playing "soldiers" and shooting at the dog.

Car -To dream that you travel alone in a car ,denotes that you may possibly make eventful journeys and affairs will be worrying. To travel in a crowded car ,foretells fortunate adventures and new entertaining companions.

Police - To see police on patrol ,indicates alarming fluctuations in affairs ,

Hi Tracey! Lovely to hear from you! I always find that if I've had a weird - and sometimes very frightening dream - it means that one's in deep sleep (the refreshing sort) - and that the AHIs are low .... look for the positives here! And we too are in the throes of wallpapering ... sometimes wish the whole DIY thing had never started because it looked better then than it does now!!

Mind you, even though I had about 2-3 hours face pack time, I woke from the most weird dream.

I'm driving the family car( Extremely weird as it's manual!), down a dual carriageway. As I'm going along, I recognise it as a local road. This is thanks to a family theme park. BUT the theme park has changed it's theme. it was a kiddie's farm theme park but it became a Santa's Grotto.......And it is very close to the turn off for particular Essex town that seems to find itself on the telly....Anyway, travelling along. I noticed road signs saying " Police Warning: Shooting incident in Town Centre."

Any ideas in your book of dreams, NM????

Just about NM! Anyway, a brief recap: (May as well do it in "Subjects"!)

Work: Had a mixture of long shifts , midnight finishes and seemingly, every other day off..... (Work 2-3 shifts, then a day off, blame staff rota!) Apparently, I had a customer who was very impressed with my standard of customer service that they had sent an e-mail of praise to the Head office! (It seems to be the first such letter involving the restaurant!) :D :D :D :D Also had a new computer programme /system installed for the tills. So I will warn you lot, that if you fancy popping in or driving through for a burger: Be prepared to wait a bit longer to be served than usual..... The till staff are trying to get to grips with the "new tills"!!!!   I was one of a select few to go over to another restaurant and play, mean "have a go"... I did worry about being able to use this new system, but managed okay. Think I started "bossing" the staff about, felt terrible as I was basically a "guest"!.... (It was approaching a peak service time and there was no ice for the drinks.....Having no stock available gets to me...) I was even asked by a senior member of management if I was interested in becoming a manager.  I said I had thought about it, but I am unable to do any overnight shifts due to family commitments. But if i hear anymore, I'll keep you posted...

Family/Home/Health: Still waiting for the wallpaper to be put up, hubby keeps saying that he'll do it this weekend, but "this weekend" never seems to turn up thanks to his family (namely his sister who had other plans involving fixing her car. Due to the nature of the problem, Hubbs cannot do it because he hasn't got the necessary equipment or tools to do the repair SAFELY!!) Kids are okay. I had a cold recently, but managed to get rid of it by drinking lots of Vitamin C ... I have been exceeding the "one a Day" dose of those fizzy tablets in water. I think it passed it onto hubby as well.......

Silicon face pack: Fell right off the wagon..... Had nights where i had the thing on for about 6 hours, but I have fallen asleep without putting it on. I can think of the following reasons:
1, Had a cold, didn't want to sneeze or struggle to cough wearing it.Also toilet trips due to excess Vitamin C (more like vitamin Pee) didn't help!!!!
2: Hubby spent those nights in bed! Still feel embarassed!
3:After "The School trip" involving the tills, I had this idea in my head that if I were to go into management, I may spend time away from my family on a course and then I was worried about what any "roommates" will have to say about the CPAP....But that's a long time if, it'll happen....

So back to "newbie status" for me. I tried last night, put it on, but woke up with a naked face.... Try, try and try again.... :( :( :( :( :(

Oh, I have been VERY naughty.... Forgot to wear the face pack 2 nights running... :( :( :( :(
Well,,,.....The first night I can say it's because I was supposed to finish work at 11, but crawled out 45 mins late. " I thought you finished at midnight" was the night shift manager's excuse. (Once I did get home, I literally crawled into bed and crashed out!) The second night was because I was up at 6 a.m., shifting the furniture out (and back in) of the living room because our new carpet was being fitted. Yes! It's finally here. My toes are nice and cosy instead of being on the cold stone floor!
But I'm still waiting for hubby to do the wallpapering! :-x :-x :-x I've heard his nephew has ringing up to ask if hubby is coming round to look at my sister-in-laws car. If that's the case, I would be VERY lucky to see the wallpaper up BEFORE Christmas!!!!!!!

Anyway, last night: Managed to remember the face pack and got about 5 hours kip.....*THUD*(Head hitting table) ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!
