Getting a comfortable position certainly helps, and you might try different pillows, possibly a combination of firm and soft. One of these 'orthopedic' pillows with a ridged bit might help you to feel more comfy, though I am sceptical about their value in terms of their 'orthopedic' value.
Good luck with your research and hope you find your ideal solution soon.
yeah some says this 'orthopedic' pillows is can be solution _________________ compression hosiery

Hi Sandra
If I've read it right, the discomfort comes from not having freedom to move your head. I only use a very shallow pillow, and tend to sleep on my back or side, and have the tube running upwards, and tucked between the mattress and headboard just at teh edge of the bed. I find this allows me to move around as I please, without affecting the mask seal.
Before I started treatment, I used to sleep a lot more elevated - with hindsight perhaps this alleviated the obstructive nature of OSA a bit?
One other thing that has just occurred to me, our bed has a memory foam topped mattress, which allows you to sink into it , and gives more even support than others - this also helps with getting comfortable on side or back - it lets me "lose" my shoulder a bit if I am on my side - which I think gives me a better neck position. This might be a more significant move than playing around with pillows, but you can buy memory foam mattress toppers to convert your existing mattress

Bad Headaches |

I have used a CPAP machine since October 2006 but since February 2007 have been suffering with very severe headaches, after dicussion with my GP we both felt that they were neck related and that the fact of having to keep my head in one position for the most of the night that this was having an affect. I have now just had three treatments with my osteopath which although has made a lot of difference - he said that my neck muscles were very stiff because of the mask - I am still getting headaches, has anyone suffered a similar problem.
