They said that i had done excellently using the machine with an average of 8 hours usage a night, my AHI has now reduced to 3.2. I had to do another sleep study test last night and have handed that in this morning. She said that those results should be good and probably won't ask to see me again for another year

I remembered it and it worked really well all the time I was away, now that I'm back it seems to be less effective and leaks loads at night again?

Regards,I'll have to remember to tell them that when I go back for my review. I must also remember that as I am on holiday from tomorrow (starting with Prometheus ) I must remember to pack my machine and all the cables. If I forget them then holiday will be a little less entertaining!

My girlfriend said that I still snore at times even with the mask on (nowhere near as much as before though). Does this mean that the setting for my machine is probably off or will I still encounter a bit of snoring here and there?

Tracey, contact the clinic to see if your machine has an EPR function and make sure that they turn it on ... it might be the solution you need. Even if the clinic haven't told you about it, ASK THEM!! You don't have to sleep and suffer.

I'll try tightening the straps up first! I do not have a clue about various features. Was told to plug in, put the mask on and push the big grey button. SIMPLES!

Alsacienne wrote: Tracey does your machine have an EPR - exhale pressure release - feature? If so, if it isn't enabled, get your sleep tech to do so asap and this should be a big help .... Tracey has the same model as me and they told me that it shouldn't be a problem exhaling as the machine compensates for it. Looking at the specs, i think it may be called the A-Flex resistance control.

Thought I was doing okay until a couple of days ago. Started getting leaks, could be caused by me started to exhale really hard (feels like I'm having trouble breathing with the mask on) or I had washed the head straps and didn't take time to adjust them! Worrying about hubby's job can't help matters either. I'll try the old tricks of a warm bath and some warm milk before (early) bedtime!
