You haven't met my boss

Unfortunately these people do exist, and are usually the ones that end up getting promoted too
Fortunately, they are a minority. :)

Unfortunately there are a lot of those career types, rather than carer types about.

They are encouraged by the new 'judgmental culture' that is permeating the NHS. i.e. no treatment for you because you are...too fat, smoke, don't go jogging blah blah. Much as I accept that we are all responsible for a proportion of our own health, I'm afraid it's being used as an easy fund saving get out clause.

A dangerous ideology in my opinion, do we stop treating STDs because people have sex, or cancer due to too much processed meat, broken bones due to sports injuries....?

Ooops having a rant again :D

Also, using cPAP is just like 'being short sighted' but you don't have to wear it during the day

Not very often I'm lost for words but.......

I've never really considered that different conditions were in competition with each other :?

Perhaps she's also a fan of lobotomies too

Goodness, ignorance and bad manners are alive and well then. SIGH.

Some of us are 'on duty' or 'in work mode' all our lives. Not everyone clocks off their compassion or humanity. And you don't need to be a nurse to have the monopoly on those two virtues .....

Didn't Nurse Ratchett also do her job to the best of her ability?
