Good morning. I have been lurking for a while after being diagnosed with Apnoea in March.
I received first CPAP with a nose mask nearly 3 weeks ago and after 2 appointments with the clinic could not get on with this as kept opening my mouth during the night. This caused me to have less sleep than normal and trying to work full time too was a nightmare. I also had sinusitus while using the nose mask and lost my voice which was also attributed to the CPAP. They asked me to call back when I was recovered and so I called the clinic on Weds and got an appt on Thursday.
I now have a full face mask and wow I slept more last night than I have for ages. The only downside is that I'm very bloated
but hey my energy I have this morning is amazing!
A big thank you to everyone here. It's because of your advice I asked the technicians for the easy breathing control to be turned on and also knowing that I am not alone with this.
I am also extremly lucky living in Nottingham as we have an excellent sleep and lung function clinic and from my doctor sending the letter to now has only been 7 weeks.
