Hi,

I am new to this forum.

I have a snoring problem but I snore with my mouth closed. The sound does not appear to be coming from my throat but within my nasal cavity. Does anyone have similar problems and know the cause? Please help. Thanks.

I am so glad to have found someone else who snores through their nose - or should I say snort? Mine is very loud but I always sleep with my mouth closed. Whenever I try to research this I find that it seems to be the general belief that it is impossible to snore through the nose! But we obviously know different! As it is a condition which supposedly doesn't exist, it is difficult to try to find any solution to it. So where do us nose snorers go from here?

I am having the same problem. It seems that when I am sleeping and on my side with my mouth closed I still seem to snore. I have tried the sprays and the breathe strips, but nothing seems to help. I have had three surgeries over the past 12 years with no help.

If there is anyone out there that can help, please let me know. thanks.

Off to the doctors with you.

Something in your nasal passages is vibrating causing the snoring. A quick look up the nose should identify the problem. But a visit to an ENT clinic may be needed.

Good luck
Paul

I tend to agree with fester61 and get you off to the doctors.
Get checked out. He may refer you to the ENT if GP doesn't find anything.

GP is your first stop Smile

Hi guys, I too snore through my nose, in my case its because my nostrils collapse when I breathe heavily whilst asleep. I have found that using nasal dialators at nite has helped. They take a bit of getting used too but sooo much better than strips which always used to come off. You can buy them from this site - the ones which work for me are called 'megavent' but I havnt tried any of the other brands so cant comment on them.

good luck Gail
