I've been using a Somnoguard AP for several years with some success (I still snore on my back and on my left side I'm told). My problem is that over this time I've gradually increased the degree of jaw extension to keep it effective and recently I've found that when I take the device out after use my jaw 'hinge' on left side aches and my teeth are reluctant to come back together and won't 'mesh' properly for several hours. It doesn't hurt in use, only when the device comes out, and the muscles try to go back to normal. Have I overdone things and dislocated my jaw? My wife has retreated to the spare room permanently so I'm resting the jaw at the moment but I'm fearful I've reached the maximum remedy this device can give me and I will need to find something else. Any ideas?

Hi. I had the same problem with the Sleepwell Sleep 4 Solutions product. The left side of my jaw was extremely painfull after 3 months of use. It worked but with great regret had to give up due to the pain and early morning loss of jaw mobility and messing. I tried 3 months later and after only coupe of days the pain returned but in the right side of jaw. I am desprat. Is this a common fault with these products? What is the solution you suggest? Carl.

I'd be interested to know of people's thoughts on this.
I have been using the Somnoguard AP Soft for several weeks. It seems to be working and I've extended the lower jaw by the next strip from the starting one.
However I think I could go further. Before I do I'd like to know the pro's and cons (plus Allen's thoughts too).
Colin
