Hi All

I have re-opened the 4.27am club. I have had 5 months off shifts due to being made redundant.

Have finally found another job on a 13 week contract with a view of full time. Looks like this company take on after 12 months.

Talking to a few guys yeaterday at work which was my 2nd day and they had same problems as me with regard to age.

Having reached 50 I think It was diffucult for me to get a full time job as I had applied for so many.

Delivering parcels part-time, mowing lawns and doing odd ljobs has kept me going. It is not as good as having a full time job.

I have opted for night shift because of the problems of waking up for a 6 to 2 shift would give me a bad time keeping record.

I am on two weeks training 6am to 2 pm. The place is like Ashes to Ashes (BBC one last eposoide on Friday, Dont miss it Jippity). I have gone back in attitude and working style to the 80,s.

Here I am at 4-09am, alarm set for 5am and in danger of sitting in the chair and over sleeping. The same old problems are back with sleep on shifts.

Mac

Mac,

Why did'nt you try Asda they take on alot of over 50's (your age group) they say they make better workers because they have encountered all of life's little problems by 50 and should hopefully be in work all the time.

I would love to see Mac in his Asda gear with his happy to help Mac badge on

Hey heres a little pic for Mac of what he would look like in it just incase he decides to go for it - Yes its really Mac !!!

I told you in the wall post revenge will be sweet my old friend

I foolishly got caught up with watching the Godfather last night (the second time it was on at 1am....not the earlier showing) so was not long into deep sleep sleep when my daughter (newly moved back home) arrived in with numerous friends at around 4.30am. I know they were trying to be quiet - but trying and succeeding when inebriated are two very different things! LOL!

To top it all I am having the bathroom retiled today and tomorrow so had to be up at 7.30am to grab a shower before the guys came over to start the work.

I have had aprox 2 hours sleep - my only hope is that the noise of them working provide suitable revenge on the offspring!

Hey its 00.32hrs and im ere in the club .

Its been quite a while since i started this 4.27am post originally it was because i woke up in the night feeling rather ill with a sore throat at 4.27am and decided that i couldnt sleep and came ere to post my thoughts.

Well today has been a very stressful day and went to bed in the hope of a good nights sleep .My old neck problem is playing up and have a bad head ache and neck pain and the cpap straps are cutting into my neck and making it worse.

Decided to get up and have some warm milk and stay on the comp till the need for sleep finally kicks in. :?

Perhaps the club should be renamed - THE WIDE AWAKE CLUB :D

bYeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ,
