Well, well nothing changes in the land of tv remember last years embarrasing bodies programme and Dr Jesson's response to the osa sufferer . Well tonight Dr Jesson has yet again been airing his views on snoring and sleep apnoea on the supersize vs superskinny programme ,

The Dr's quote "osa is common in overweight people" and "you will die if you don't lose weight "

If you view this link its at 03.57 mins in ,the 8pm Mark vs Dale

http://www.channel4.com/programmes/supe ... od#3183925

I love Dr Jesson :( :( did you know that he is a bad snorer himself and quickly got tested for osa at Birmingham Heartlands hospital for osa - shame he did'nt have it although he's not a fattie is he and it only applies to fat people remember

Regards,

I find it really depressing that a doctor who has become a media icon persists in giving inaccurate information to many viewers who suffer from as yet undiagnosed OSA. Whilst many of us OSA sufferers (and xPAP users) are on the round side, we are NOT all like that. Size/weight is not the only criterion for OSA. IMHO he needs to concentrate more on conveying full and real information rather than just polishing his media image.

Bravo Alsa always wise words from you ,

My niece needs to use cpap she's 21 size 6 so how can the good doctor explain that one !!!!

Well you see she has a problem with her airway a condition called stryder and she is suffering with apnoea's and breathing problems at night so been issued with cpap to help her in the night .

Its time they presented the correct facts when making these programmes .

Regards,
