Hi,
Does anybody else agree with me that there has been a proliferation of "people" registering in oder that they can plug their product on the forums. Some are so blatant that they even openly plug their company's website.
I for one find this an abuse of forums set up as self help platforms for fellow sufferers and would ask that the moderators take a very hard line on this abuse.
What does anybody else think?

Agree completely. Not only does it waste valuable time finding that the messages are really advertising and other sorts of undesirable rubbish but it also undermines the credibility of the forum!
The Mods on this site have been very helpful in getting rid of previous 'offenders' - may they continue this task efficiently and regularly.

I'm on the case right now.
These posts aren't made by people, they are made by 'bots' that roam around looking for forums to spam.
I'll report back with progress later.

Thanks for that Dan.
I realise that my language was a bit intemperate but I was just so incensed as I did not realise that these were automated spam messages and could not believe that anyone would stoop so low as to post that rubbish on a self help forum.
Now that I am more fully acquainted with the facts, I sincerely apologise if anyone found my language offensive and I am happy to pass on all further instances of this to you.
