Sounds like a David Bowie song :)
No, it is the next appointment I have with the sleep clinic
They don't have time to see everyone anymore.
She looked back my history on OSA and decided there was no need to see me for five years.
All I have to do is phone for spares if I need any or the machine packs in like it did the other week.
Only other time they want to hear from me is if I have any problems.
Suits me fine, but the visit was good for picking up the odd spare.
As long as they don't go changing the phone number again without telling the patients like they did before.
Now they don't want to see me things has almost bound to go pearshaped

Oh well, heres hopeing :)

Hmmm last time i went they said see ya in 2 years which is fine by me anyway its over a 40 mile round trip and when you go they ask you the same old b@ll@cks and give you the Epworth test to fill out .I just put a score of 2 on the Epworth test now .

With NHS cutbacks makes you wonder if check ups will be a thing of the past ????

Why don't we all go down the same road as the yanks we monitor the data ourselves ( I do ) and only contact them if needs be ???

I had a thing with my sleep clinic a few weeks ago about the climate line tube which they have replaced before but said they would no longer replace so i made a complaint and they will carry on issuing it now to me .
They said that they can no longer fund humidifiers for patients and they must buy there own if they need them .
Regards,

Yes, it sometimes makes you think it is cutbacks. But being honest, the only time I had any bother was when I needed a humidifier when I was under Edinburgh's care, but funding was limited then and they had to try to cut costs somewhere. This was one area they though they could cut costs. I got one in the end when I just couldn't use the CPAP machine for more than two hours.
I honestly think they could all save money by taking time when fitting people with a mask, even to the point of using the mask and machine for an hour before allowing patients to leave, this is even more importent when it when the patient is new. It would also free up time as they could sort any problems out and save on return visits by patients with problems.
