Hi ,

Been having some problems with the humidifier on the S9 doesnt seem to be heating the water in the chamber and the air to the mask is cold and dry .
This afternoon i have spoken to Resmed who seem to figure that the problem is to do with the climate control tube - this determines the humidity in the tube and delivers it to the mask and also stops rainout problems. They say that the tubing overides the humidifier part of the machine so i have now disabled climate control and put the humidifier back to the boss :D :D

Anybody else had problems switching from the S8 to the S9 model with this ????

Regards,

Well part 2 of the humidifier saga continues - Followed Resmeds advice last night and turned the climate controlled tube off this then puts the machine back into normal humidifier well thats what they said anyway.

Went to bed last night with the machine on the middle setting 3.5 and woke up and the heater element and water were stone cold .
Another call to Resmed this morning seems the S9 is super intelligent it picks up on room temp and will heat the water only when required not like the S8 and the old h3i humidifier .

The climate controll tube is now back activated and it is set at 28 degrees for tonight ,also going to increase the room temp tonight see if it gives any better results .

Fingers crossed,

Yes i did thanks ,

The climate line tube is the better option mine is now set at 30 degrees and humidification is cosy to say the least , the standard cpap tube will convert the humidifier back to normal mode i think 6 is max at this .Did take some time to get used to the change from the S8 machine but the S9 is a far greater machine and i have seen far greater results ahi wise using it .

Regards,
