Got fed up of still feeling tired after all this time on cpap so on instruction of doc i phoned up clinic for an appointment, was told yes no problem can fit you in feb 2010,well i was amazed i haven`t been there for over 12 months, anyway i told them doc wasn`t happy with my condition so they have referred me to the physiology lab to check machine and mask,if they`re ok then they`ll try and fit me in earlier.
good old nhs.

Went to physiology this morning she changed all parts of mask and fitted a humidifier to machine, seems to think it will make a difference,if no change in three weeks she`ll refer me back to clinic, fingers crossed.

Ray

I have been reading your posts, and being having a new humidifier, I am not sure if you had one in the first place, but from experience, I found the humidifier at a heat setting you can get on with, will make a lot of difference with regards to amount of air we can breath in, and our lungs can absorb, although it does take several days for the body to realy feel the difference.

Good luck.

I have to admit, that despite having CPAP for over six years now, I have never altered any of the settings on the machine. Just recently, I have been feeling more tired than usual during the day (Could be due to all of this walking). I have not tampered with the heat settings on the humidifier, but I know that I do not like humid conditions, and the combination of humidifier plus warm nights does not help.
Should I have another read of the manual, or are there any good tips for finding ideal heat settings/air pressure?
Is it going to be beneficial to me, if I can increase the pressure and still sleep, or will this have detrimental long term effects on me?
