Don't I get a letter NM? I fight the sharks with their own bait and will not be allowing them to muddy my waters. All power to the regulars ... and wonder if the mods should try pre-modding the new posts until they are sure which side of the pond they are coming from.

Bisous to you all xxxxx

Yes i`ve been on that site and you get their products rammed down your throat by the site owner and some of their gullible members, thats if they are members and not aliases of the owner.

nm re security, I fully agree with where, or who gives security, this last lot of nonsence I had to experience, I can say did cause me some frustration, but having a stornger personality I was not going to let it bother me.

I am also ware we all can be scapgoated, if not just by our own well meaning social characteristics, but if one is to be respected, it also should fall don to respect of each peron's opinions, which from my perspective the latter bit I probably did not allow for.

But we also may need to make some allowance for the newer members, often trying to gain confidence with a total new way of life, along with recognition the grief they are suffering along side of fighting to gain some level of compliance, so as to gain confidence with this new way of life, as we in UK, also know there are few or little alternative to CPAP. Also all us more verbal members have a great deal of understanding the problems associated with it.

Last few days, I have given me time to think, and consider my options, and approaches I may have to adapt to this sort of communicating, knowing for me it is totaly new, and where before, I have always been well used to speaking for self, knowing with eye contact, you can often get prewarning signals when people are unhappy with what we are saying, and of course be able to change tact, or make it less derogatory without making insults, as we both have had to experince in past.

In the end I am gentlemanly enough, not to hold grudges. But if new users are to contiually to be able to drop into other persons
discussions, without an invitation, we all may suffer more than I had last altercation, yet fom no longer term member of this forum, that also
seemed hell bent in making trouble, which makes me think it was
his original aim.

Hi Guys

Didn;t see all the strings that led to the upsets last week, but from a personal point of view I have really appreciated both of yours inputs and support and your sense of humour.

Self reflection is always good but everyone is different and tolerance works both ways.

Don't give up on the forum and us newbies who are still learning the ropes but also don;t give up on yourselves - you are who you are and if that sometimes means that people are upset then its good you can admit to your own weaknesses but its rarely one sided and we all need to learn to give and take.

Welcome back

Cath

nm it may be the way we moan, last time I did it, they posted to me a stand, and 2 lots of cleaning supplies, I still wonder what alse I can get, any bidders  The biggest worry, was how they linked my personal id on this site, to my fuller name and address. as neither site have the other. Also knowing I use seperate email addresses, really does increase my paranoia.

But who knows even the greatest of authorities sell our info. hence the need for data protection, set up to protect certain bodies, that need not be the individual.

By the way thanks for your emails they were welcome, although I must admit seriously thinking of adapting your method of closing the pm link.

With regards to prewarning, I think I need a bigger headline, in neon lights. or I am half blind as well as all lot of shakes when I concentrate.

Welcome back Leng, it is all too easy to get into negative discussions on the internet, and it can at times cause you to back off and think things over.
Good to see you back though, because I welcome the input of the regulars on here, and have found it infinitely more useful than any of the "experts" I have come in contact with.

Andy

a very good one, most doctors especialy after doing there training and adopting there speciality will only enter after 6 weeks theory, then work with part time education for more advanced knowledge, it there for is the better for us to see either the consultant, or registrar who will both have that advanced knowledge.

I often had to take all junior docs out for one day to show them the insights to care in the community, as very few had any insight of local conditions. This will be why we have so many difficuilties with humidifiers, as there will be little knowledge of what the humidity levels are in your house, being more confused that heating styles we in UK, will be totally different than states, or if under floor, or pumped air. Even in Europe it has a different type of water heating, hence total confusion all round.

It's great to see the good guys back!!!

When my Mam was desperately ill in hospital, because all my time could be devoted to her, I learned a lot about her condition, to the point where the consultant on rounds called me 'the daughter with the head on her shoulders'.
I'm a big believer in information, and now I'm learning about osa and attachment/compliance, mostly from aforementioned good guys on here, and the Wise Lady of France, with your personal experiences which you're kind enough to share and explain. Also the laffs are good - 'small rides large loads' a great example!
OH particularly astounded at the 'school bus' pic, but said of the lady clinging on the very back of the putt putt motor bike, 'she knows her place'!
I'm off to flatten him ladies!
Take care all, Sue.

Some of the ones in the comments section are really excellent as well.
