Morning folks,

Does this qualify me for membershop? membershop!!!????? I mean membership, God Im tired!! :? :? :? :?

I didnt think I would ever be in this position again. Since March I've been successfully snoozing away. But not the past couple of days!!! :( :( :(

I fitted my new and unused humidifier two nights ago, and have had crap sleep since. So, when my body catches up with my brain I'm not sure what time that will be) its coming off and being put away!!. :( :(

So its back to the sofa and telly for me at the mo. :( :(

We were told last night on TV there was a big storm coming, starting in the West Country Sunday night and we were to expect some flooding and high winds. DUH!!!!!! I thought 'Bliss!!!!' cool air for me to breathe and maybe relief from this humid aid. NOT!!
Unless I've gone and done ' a Dorothy' and found myself in Oz I think I could darry a lighted candle outside and it would'nt go out!!

Oh well, lets see if Jeremy Kyle is on, or even maybe Big Brother surely that should send me off on a tangent. If not, I'll have to watch my three Twilight films AGAIN!!!! Oh to be a vampire and not need sleep, or food!!
:) :) :)
Night, night fellow apnoeaics!! ( now, there's a new word for us all) me 'andsomes

Hi NM,
I think the problem with the humidifier is me. I just cannot seem to get on with breathing the warm air, it starts off okay, but after an hour or so I wake up gasping for air, and feeling quite panicky.
I guess I should persevere but I think my persevering mode will not cooperate with the humidifier but never mind its not the end of the world. :)

Mags ,

Depending on what make or style it is there must be some settings on it to turn it down if its too hot ,
Have a look im sure you will find them and turn it down experiment till you find the best comfort level.

Your therapy will be greatly improved using the humidifier.

Regards,

Would depend what make of machine she has or humidifier?
Some machines control the humidifier directly.
Most modern ones do.

The humidifier is an M series heated humidifier and there is a dial which I turned to No. 2

When I was given the humidifier at the hospital, I was shown the machine and told the instructions were in the bag. So, no problems!!! When I got home, and went to fit the thing up, Lo and behold, no instructions. Two hours later, after trawling the net, I found the destructions!! and followed them, so no problems there. I just feel that its my dislike of breathing warm air is the problem.

I also feel that my age is creating problems with body temperature, hormonal changes etc. etc. We laugh and joke about the menopause, but there are definately issues with night sweats (loverly!!!) so although maybe I am having teething problems with the humidifer perhaps it will take a little longer for me to get accustomed to it. I have been offered HRT but I dont really want to go down that route, as I take quite a lot of medication already for arthritis and Stills disease and I dont want to take more meds for something that is after all a natural phase. I dont have any other problems with my time of life so I will deal with it.

By the way, guys, thanks for all the support and encouragement on here, this is really important to me as my mobility is virtually nil, I can use crutches but it is very difficult, so wheelchair is my main mode of transport, but, hey ho!!, life is generally good, but we all need to rant sometimes, and here I feel I can rant and nobody judges me. You are all great. :D :D :D

Thank you

Mags xx
