I thought I had investigated every possible anti-snoring device available, but today someone told me about an Anti-Snoring Ring - I had never heard of this before. I was surprised when she said that having been a heavy snorer since childhood (she's now 50), she wore this accupressure ring for just TWO nights, and her snoring has stopped, not just reduced but STOPPED. How come I've never heard of this ring before I thought!! They cost between £20 and £30, and are available from Lloyds Chemist. I can't help thinking that if it's that wonderful I would surely have heard of it before, but I will get one and try it anyway, and if it doesn't work, well, I lost £30, but for that price it's definitely worth a try. I would be very interested to hear if anyone else has tried it because I can not find any independent reviews on the internet. It sounds too good to be true!

I saw this in Boots 2 weeks ago and stood humming and ha-ing about if I could afford the £25 for this ring and eventually convinced myself that if it meant no more buying throat/nose sprays etc it would work out cheaper in the long run. I told no one as I wanted to try it out and see if anyone noticed (the whole house can hear me snoring). After about 3 days my partner remarked that I had been sleeping very quietly, I still said nothing and after a week he asked if I was sleeping in a different position or something as my snoring was gone. I showed him the ring and he was astounded as he is very sceptical of what he regards as "quackery". He we are now 2 weeks in and apparently I no longer snore. I now have very long vivid dreams which is strange - I guess in the past my dreams were interrupted by the noise and vibration of my snores as I used to wake several times in the night. Now I seem to sleep all night like a log. My partner who is very tolerant and has always said my snoring did not bother him has found that he is sleeping better too. I did find that it did not work very well one evening when we had been celebrating my son's 18th with rather too much champagne - so I guess it is not as effective if you have alcohol in quantity. Apart from that it seems to work. I am desperate to find out how on earth it does work as its hard to see how a ring on the finger can stop your throat muscles from collapsing... I am just so grateful to have found something that works for me.

At least £25 won't bankrupt you .... but it all depends on why you were snoring and considering buying it.

If you have OSA, nothing other than serious, continuous and personalised therapy will treat the condition, as it's not curable.

If someone has a snoring problem especially where they appear to be stopping breathing and waking with a snort, the Epworth Sleepiness Test is the first port of call, followed by a visit to their doctor. Don't waste time - and money - before taking it seriously.

There are some feedback results on the site and also on the Facebook page for Goodnight Snoring Ring. Works well!

Hi stokerjill, I am pleased to hear that you have had such a positive outcome from wearing this ring. I have just returned from holiday and tried to buy one from Lloyds Pharmacy the day I left but unfortunately the shop assistant had never heard of it, and I didn’t have time to go elsewhere to get one. I have now ordered one from Amazon and will wear it for a few nights and then let you know how I am getting on. If I could just get a bit of an improvement I would be delighted but I’m really encouraged that your partner reports that your snoring has completely gone.

I have tried absolutely everything and I purchased a snore ring a month ago. Wearing the ring and using nasal spray did significantly reduce my heavy heavy snoring (according to my girlfriend). The only catch is as stated in the leaflet which comes with it the rings anti snoring affects may wear off if the ring is worn frequently. Thus I'm writing this from my make shift bed on the sofa.

As I pointed out earlier and have no conscience about repeating ad infinitum

If snoring is caused by the MEDICAL CONDITION Obstructive Sleep Apnoea, NOTHING other than xPAP therapy will manage the condition which is incurable. Therapy is FOR LIFE.

If you snore for other reasons, don't waste the time of those of us with a medical problem by suggesting inappropriate 'cures'.

I got this the good night anti-snoring ring from boots for my husband and it works a treat. I thought it would be a waste of money but I was wrong. I recommend it seriously.

as a means to lighten your wallet because if you suffer from OSA it will make absolutely NO difference to your medical condition and the associated health risks of increased chances of a stroke or heart attack in your sleep.

Another 'one post wonder'?

As a result of this post and out of desperation I bought this ring. I am a nose snorer and as a result of the noise my wife and I sleep separately but were about to share the same bed as we were going on holiday for 2 months.

The first night I tried it there was no difference but I decided to persevere. On the second night my wife said that I had snored but the volume was greatly reduced. This pattern continued for a few more days and then the snoring resumed to its previous high level. At this point I switched the ring to my left hand and again the same pattern resumed - bad first night then lower volume for a few days.

I then decided to use the ring in conjunction with a Nozovent and at this point things improved dramatically. My wife had a virtually uninterupted sleep for a further few weeks. Towards the end of the holiday the snoring resumed at its previous high level but my experience has led me to conclude that for holidays these rings are excellent. In 2 months my wife experienced 6 bad nights.

The leaflet with the ring indicates that for excessive snorers 2 rings could be used. These rings might not suit everyone - and would certainly not be applicable for sleep apnea condition - but for me they work.

Incidentally this thread indicates that the rings can be purchased in Lloyds and Boots but I bought online as they were not available in stores in my area.

I can vouch that the Good Night Anti Snoring ring works as my wife bought me one and she says I have stopped. I had tried the sprays and nothing worked. It comes with a money back guarentee so worth trying. It works on me, wife is very happy and facinated with how it works. She is now reading a book on alternative medicine!
