Saw my osa friendly doc today and confessed about my 'black-market' CPAP.

She agrees, that I shouldn't have to feel like a zombie for one more year (and pointed out it even says in NICE guidelines that CPAP should be used for symptomatic mild OSA!!!).

She's writing to the consultant (that I never got to see) stating that I have been 'pragmatic' and have had a huge improvement by using CPAP. She recommends that I'm re-assessed and that they should consider supplying me with CPAP.

So, a result :D

Well done for coming clean ............ and what a great RESULT!! (Not that you have confirmed OSA but that you'll get the proper treatment and start to feel better!)

WELL DONE. Keep in touch, and help us tell others not to be fobbed off by inconclusive or speculative results!

A few months ago I wouldn't have thought it possible to be 'excited' about the possibility of a new CPAP machine and an extra mask for when I have a cold. Loving the blue gel nasal mask when I'm cold free....well, as much as anyone can love a mask..... :)

I see things like this, my machine and mask have considerably improved my life, but I feel like I'm not quite 'there yet'. I feel that a modern xPAP that will keep an eye on my apnoeas over time, and some support from a sleep clinic will improve things even more!!!

My va va voom is coming back, but I think it's just the va va part at the mo :D
