I had a bunged up nose the other night and that felt awful, it was the first time that I really felt claustrophobic and suffocated! I've not been too bad with the heat really, just the awkward bit of removing the mask to swig some water.

I'll give that a go 8) The only problem is that when the seal gets broken it makes a really loud noise accompanied by squeaks and raspberries, this wakes my girlfriend and baby. i'll trial it before putting it into practice

Great tip NM! Does anyone keep their mask cleansing cloths aka baby wipes close to hand?

Mine's not heat affected really ... but with a really nasty flare of dyshydrotic eczema on feet and hands can't cope with the pressure of bedclothes and it's HELLISHLY ITCHY.

And as mentioned on other threads, other people don't seem to realise that what they're suggesting is just unhelpful or worse ....

'You should go to your doc to get a treatment'
(I have, and have a drawer full of meds and creams)

'Oh you must be allergic to strawberries'
(No I'm not!!!)

'If you didn't eat any sugar, white flour or any carbohydrates you'd soon be clear of this'
(Oh yeah?)

'You really should go to the Dead Sea. The minerals in it will do wonders for your skin'
(Yes, if my doctor could claim my trip as treatment and get it paid for .... and of course how long would the beneficial effects last once I returned home?)

'You shouldn't scratch it you know'
(You live with it then and try to get rid of the itching by causing other pain to deflect the itching ..... violently hot water seems to be the only way. The pain of the burn is so much nicer than the itching.)
