I bought my hubby one of these to try he is a terible snorer , it did not make no difference to his snoring was a waste of money and had to claim to get my money back.
I would not recommend this to others.

I think snoring is maybe more embarrassing for a girl to admit to, and seek help for.
Before I went to my GP, this anti-snoring ring was one of the first things I tried - what a total waste of time, made no difference to my snoring at all.

I tried one from the chemist too, absolutely no effect what-so-ever.

In hindsight how the hell could a ring on your finger affect your airflow????

I have just had a friend going on and on abput this after 'seeing it on TV' - as if that makes any difference to it's efficacy!
I have to say though, after a lot of reading on different sites about it, I have arrived at the conclusion that it does help some people. Before you get excited, I will quantify that by saying that Homoeopathy also helps some people, acupuncture too!
None of them have any actual scientific reason or medical ability to change anything in the body and yet they can work for some.
Conclusion: Placebo effect. Simple.
There is evidence if you care to look it up that the placebo effect should not be underestimated. It has been shown to make ACTUAL PHYSICAL CHANGES to the body. The placebo effect CAN make people better.

This ring, as well as all other seemingly nonsensical 'treatments' are either placebo effect or the claimant is simply lying.
There is NO way this will stop you snoring.
Though if you so believe it might...it just might!

Think I shall save my cash and I strongly advise others to do the same.

I have one last thought though: Since when did the Chemist become a purveyor of all kinds of snake oil?

I tried the Good Night anti-snoring ring last night and my wife confirmed for me this morning, that I had slept free from any snoring

I put my snoring down to a mixture of poor sinuses and being a tad overweight. Looking forward to seeing if the snoreless nights continue (as is my wife!)

Did your wife remain awake all night to monitor your snoring or lack of it?

You may be able to 'cure' your snoring by addressing the health problems you mention, but NOTHING except xPAP therapy for life will manage your snoring if you suffer from Obstructive Sleep Apnoea.

It is materialistic of any 'anti-snoring' device to lead prospective clients to think that this device will 'cure' their snoring. It's not just the snoring that causes problems, but the associated health risks of a seriously elevated risk of having a heart attack or stroke in your sleep though lack of oxygen reaching your lungs, heart and brain because of an episode of apnoea.

You have self-diagnosed correctly, and it's in your power to do something about it ... not a 'sterling silver' accupressure ring. And the fact that it's made of silver has nothing to do with its efficiency either!

bought a ring a week ago, it works ! Simple as that

All this talk of snoring - why don't people just go and see their GP's or even better Snoring Clinics - I have just spotted one near where I work in Whitley Bay. Says it is run by and ear nose and throat consultant - he should be able to diagnose the exact cause of snoring. We all know snoring is different for everyone - how can one little ring device fit all?

They come in different sizes. I am wondering if its more of a case of placebo!

Hi all, I chanced upon this discussion because my stepfather-in-law bought me one of these things. Was trying to find out what the experiences of others have been.

1. I have gone for a sleep clinic just recently and the docs have determined that I do not have OSA. The docs did say that my palate is a bit soft and low and its vibrating is what causes the snores. The recommended treatment is RFA, but the docs don't promise that things will improve even after the treatment.

2. I do not think that this ring does anything at all for people with OSA. Please seek appropriate medical treatment (by which I mean evidence-based medicine).

3. I tried this on a whim (no harm, just putting a ring on before going to bed). For some reason this ring works for me and reduces the volume of my snoring.

4. It makes no sense at all, could possibly be just a matter of the placebo effect etc. I can't explain it, but to me that's not as important as the fact that I'm no longer disturbing my wife and she can sleep properly now.

I have to say that there are a few bullies on this forum, and some sincere people too who just want to help.

I have snored for years too, I've tried everything, including going to the gp (who said it was because of my double chin) and NOTHING has helped. I was frequently kicked out of bed for snoring.

In December 2012 I bought the ring. I found that since I started using it my snoring has completely stopped. I haven't slept a single night on the sofa, it's now mid February. Last night I had a blocked nose due to a cold, and even then I didn't wake the wife with snoring.

I also have a much better quality of sleep with vivid dreams which I remember the next morning. This is completely new to me. I wake up like a zombie, but only until I remove the ring, because then I become alert quickly and feel refreshed. I can't explain why, I wish I could, but for me it works.

One negative is that I have a black mark on my little finger where (I believe) the copper is reacting to uric acid in my blood (I also suffer from gout) and also a callous is developing from constant pressure every night.

If it were placebo effect then why haven't any other devices helped??? I've tried them all and some of them had amazing reviews. None worked for me. I bought this out of desperation thinking it can't hurt, and it worked... I wish I did sell them because there are some e-bayers who make a lot of money... If nothing else works, give it a try, you can always get your money back.

You may think this, and have the right to hold this opinion, but once you type it and it appears in print, this may lead to a situation that you would wish never to have got into.

What makes you think this? How do you define a bully? And how do you legitimately link the two statements?

In a forum such as this, posters simply express their opinions, points of view and personal experience. This is not bullying (unless you have received malicious pms from members, which IS cyberbullying and must not be allowed to go unpunished), simply a difference in opinion.

All forum members have the right to read and write posts on this forum. What other members decide to do after reading the posts or sharing in the information exchanged is their own personal decision and has nothing to do with 'bullying'.

You have found your own solution to snoring. This is a good thing. HOWEVER, the solution you found is not therapeutic when applied to individuals who suffer from the medical condition of Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (nor Central Sleep Apnoea). Medical conditions require other solutions, and more complex therapy, usually for life.

Might I suggest that you gain a legal qualification before spouting such nonsense in public. I was reading your posts with interest right up until you posted that tosh! Good grief!

This was too silly to be true, but it had a money back offer so I bought one at the Ideal Home Exhibition in London, March 2013. First night I was booted out of bed for loud snoring. But the next night I tried it on my left hand instead of the right. IT WORKED! It continues to work. The exception being one night when my nose was blocked up due to a cold, to be fair I was told it wont work on those who snore for medical reasons or are over weight. So 50/50 it working for everyone. Its being properly tested as my partner is totally unaware that I have bought the ring or that I wear it at night. I am also sleeping more soundly, so thumbs up.
