Ok, so my wife has been giving me grief about my snoring for years. I had the hard version of this product for a while and it made very little difference with my snoring continuing to annoy my good lady. I purchased this soft version about 4 weeks ago and the difference has been amazing. There is a little discomfort at first (I set it to the maximum advancement setting), it's slightly uncomfortable when it first goes in each night and my teeth seem to have to find their way home each morning when I take it out but all of these issues are minor when compared to the results. My snoring has stopped completely. It is the most expensive product in the range but worth every penny. Before this I was considering surgery. I think it's effective enough for sufferers of sleep apnoea and even those poor folks who need to plug themselves into a machine at night.BSSAA have a great website with easy and clear navigation and product descriptions and, having ordered a couple of products from them in the past, I can say that their customer service is spot on.I would thoroughly recommend both the SP Soft product and BSSAA to anyone who wants to stay married. My wife has now had to find other reasons to moan about me - thankfully snoring is not one of them!

Purchased the Somnoguard SP Soft 9 months ago but kept putting off the fitting (it's a male thing)! Partner started threatening me with excommunication if I did not act promptly last week (for obvious reasons). Fitting was easy, needed a couple of minor adjustments over the following few days (plastic was rubbing against gums). Minor discomfort for first few nights but already sleeping much more soundly and no Apnoea since fitting. Partner also sleeping better and very happy with results.

I bought this for my husband who snores. We now both get a whole nights sleep. He used to snort loudly in between snoring, wake me up (and himself) then roll over and continue snoring whilst I'd lay awake listening to him for hours. With this device he is quiet and the odd night when he forgets to wear it sure enough he is snoring loudly again. Would highly recommend for anyone to buy this as a present for their partner if they snore.

I have slight sleep apnoea and have previously used CPAP for about 5 years but never got on well with it. My hospital consultant suggested I tried a MAD device. The SomnoGuard device has certainly stopped me snoring - so my wife tells me - so its a winner there. It takes a few days to get used to having something in the mouth for a full night but after about a fortnight no problem. I have no hesitation in recommending the SomnoGuard to other sufferers.

A bit of background: I recorded my snoring using a free app on my iPad to check that I wasn't showing signs of sleep apnea. The tests on this website weren't totally conclusive as the result was mixed causes. I tried a variety of the less expensive solutions, e.g. Nasal strips, but they didn't help. The nasal strips just sprang off my nose, I think they must be designed for larger men's noses. Then I paid to see a consultant who said the options were an operation costing about £4000 which should reduce the snoring by about 75% but would then gradually become less effective, or have a mouth guard fitted, which he assured me would work.I decided to go down the DIY route, especially as we were going on an expensive holiday quite soon. I found the video showing how to fit the guard very helpful, even though it was for a slightly different product. I perhaps wasn't brave enough when cutting off the excess material, but it has been ok.It has worked well for me. My partner will sleep through anything for the first part of the night, so I just put it in when I get up for the toilet, usually about 3am. It didn't take too long to get used to but I'm not so keen on the dribbling. The worst bit is taking it in and out of my mouth as it is quite large. I feel quite lucky that I only need to wear it for part of the night, so I can still have a drink of water when I get up for the toilet and it doesn't pull on my teeth as much. I've been using it for about 6 months now.A word of caution, when I first put the little bars on, I didn't realise that there are two sets of different sizes so I ended up putting a different length bar on each side initially. Good luck!

I been using MADs for some time with variable successes, after deciding to change over to this one " SomnoGuard SP Soft" I immediately notice and felt the difference it's like adding a double rest sleep. I don't know if this works for everyone but it worked for me, with my humble understanding about how this devise works I would relay this to the fact that there is no obstruction in the cavity between the two jaws and the tongue is resting in a manner that it wouldn't fall back and contribute to obstructions.

Very effective. I now wake up in my own bed next to my wife every morning. When I snored I had to go into the spare room most nights.

Great product, really does work and extremely comfortable. Horrendous price tag though, however, it simply backfires on the sellers as I only replace it when absolutely necessary. If more reasonably priced I would definitely replace more frequently.

I had tried just about every advertised gadget to try to curb my snoring - to no avail. I stumbled across this by accident and almost didn't buy it because of the price. What a mistake that would've been. This works excellently. Now when I begin snoring in the. Other my wife's nudge has me put this in and fall straight back asleep - with no snoring. The only thing that defeats it is excessive alcoholo and/or cigars. For me the instructions for self fitting were a tad intimidating - so I had my dentist do it. That as a really good call - from day one it has been effective (although it took a few nghts to get the right adjustment for optimum results). A life changer for this snorer - now I spend every night in my own bed! Recommended

I bought this product in February and have found it to be excellent; I have now bought a second one just in case I lose the original, as I wouldn't like to be without it. It takes no more than a few days to get used to it, it is not obtrusive and it has eliminated my snoring. My wife now has no trouble sleeping beside me. I had been prescribed a CPAP device but found it absolutely impossible (and expensive). The Somonguard SP Soft did the business!
