I had to buy a new one of these having lost the previous one (again!!), and the size has now changed, making it far, far less effective for me. The two prongs that fit into the most have been narrowed to about half the width, meaning it now doesn’t hold my nasal passage open sufficiently to allow comfortable breathing, and it tends to fall out far more regularly. I’m fairly sure (but not 100% certain) that the prongs have also been shortened slightly too.Since this is the only things between me and a decent nights sleep, I’m a lot less than happy and simply cant understand why it was changed, or indeed why any change isn’t mentioned I the blurb. Given that the fit seems to be hit and miss for many people I’m surprised in any case they aren’t made in different widths. In an attempt to fix the problem, I bent the outer part of each prong outward, making each more of a ‘V’ than the previous ‘U’ shape. It’s helped to open the lower part of my nostril, but done little to help with the deeper nasal passage, so come the weekend it’ll be time to hit the needle nosed pliers!I’m sure it still works well for some, just not for me any more.

This product is ideal for people whose upper nasal passages tend to collapse when asleep. It takes a bit of practice and it will fall out if you don't insert it properly, but it really does enhance breathing. You can try supporting the base with a sticky bandage if it keeps falling out. Sometimes I wear it when I'm awake at home, just for the support. The only downside is if you have a cold, it becomes inconvenient. But overall it's definitely helped me sleep better, and my partner reports I snore a lot less.

I didn't buy this product because I snore. For most of my life I have suffered breathing difficulties through my nose because my nasal cavities are permanently in a partial state of collapse. I have had many treatments prescribed to me over the years including undergoing very painful nasal surgery. Nothing worked. Until, that is, when a few weeks ago I discovered this product. It is simple to use and causes no pain when inserted to the nasal cavity. I now use it most nights to aid breathing during sleep, and also during the day sometimes, when my breathing is particularly restricted. The only visible part is the small connecting piece which sits almost invisibly at the base of the nose. Anyone who does spot it probably will think you are cool and hip for wearing a nose ring!! I could not recommend this product highly enough; it has changed my life.

I've battled with a snoring issue from a blocked nose for years, and my husband too! I'd tried all sorts, the best being Breathe Right nose strips. But they weren't working any more and expensive to buy. Tired of having to resort to separate bedrooms... I did the tests on the Associations web site, realised I need some sort of nose dilator, read the reviews and bought this.SUPERB!!!!! but it did take about 4 weeks to get used to it. HANG IN THERE, it is GREAT!The tip about wetting the nose dilator and the inside of your nostrils first is a great help. Also I've realised one nostril is a "bit wonky" inside so I use the dilator at a very slight angle, and this works for me.I can actually FEEL the air when I breathe, and I'm sure I sleep more soundly when I use it than when I forget.

Ordered this after reading all the reviews, however it was a metal object that certainly was uncomfortable and for me unuseable. I am female with an average sized nose. Obviousdly could not return due to hygiene terms and conditions.

The Dilator was the only one of its kind found on ebay with its thousands of ads and sellers selling nose dilators. One of its kind for more than one reasons.Firstly it reaches deeper into the nasal passage thus preventing the nostrils from collapsing.Second, because it reaches deeper,it never falls off during the night.Thirdly, because it is made of stainless steel,it will outlive any plastic or silicon dilator.Chances are it will outlive me as well.Four, because of its design,it offers a wide range of individual adjustment. But there is a drawback.Because of the anatomy of my nose, the dilation exerted is not adequate to fully open my nasal passage-ways,especially the left one.

My nostrils are not straight so when I had this little device in place one of my nostril was getting irritated by it whilst the other one was comfortable. I bent the wire to follow the curves inside of my nostril but was never be able to find a good position for it, still irritating and on a slight pressure or simply when I was yawning it hurts so I stopped using it as it is no use for me. I guess it could work well for people with straight nostrils though.

I bought a couple of products to try, not to stop me snoring as I don't, but to let me sleep without waking to drink constantly as my nose canal collapses when not consciously keeping it open.So being metal it should last you a while unlike the plastic products out there, although this is an expensive paper clip. Putting it in (watch the video) isn't too bad once you've learn the knack - although if you have any scaring in your nose this can be harder. My biggest issue is that it's un-cofomortable and I worry one of my kids might hit me in the nose (they are young) when wearing it and do myself some serious damage.

Basically, the effect is positive, but do not maintain in the nose all night. The device has a ring, which has two metal coil spring, it is thin and makes the pressure. What if instead of 2 turns (coil) to try to make 3-5 turns (coil)? Perhaps the moment discomfort (pressure) would disappear. Thanks!
