I have used the somnoguard 3 before and found it definitely helped with my mild sleep apnoea, but was difficult to get a good fit- eventually after a year of (not every night) use it became too slack and could not reshape it. I Bought the AP version recently, it definitely fits better and has adjustment for increasing advancement. The harder carrier makes it easier to mold and retain its shape. The only problem I had was my upper gum being slightly scalded by the heat during fitting, and my lower front teeth becoming sensitised for a week after, so wait a few seconds longer than the recommended time for it to cool ! Does not feel as bulky in the mouth as it looks and initial aches go away quite quickly - works very well for me !
Somno guard AP - works for me. Usually!

I have tried just about every anti snoring product that is around. I am not a "nasal" scorer. This device surprised me because it worked. ( didn't on a couple of occasions after a night on the town) but even then the better half said it was better than with none at all. I bought the metal Hannibal lector device for almost a thousand pounds a few years ago and this new plastic device has out performed that easily. Recommended. ( I also have a bit of apnea and this product also helps there I am told). AS WITH ALL DEVICES OF THIS TYPE IT IS A BIT UNCOMFORTABLE. DONT BIN IT BECAUSE OF THAT. ITS BETTER THAN MOST.

I guess it's unusual for the woman to be the snorer in a partnership, but my husband has suffered many years of sleepless nights with my heavy continuous snoring, a lot of times retreating to the spare room, which always made me feel terribly guilty! Then on top of this, a few years back I started getting sleep apnea, and went to a sleep clinic where they advised an MAD device. I never got around to doing anything about it, until recently, as we moved abroad to Spain and the bedroom walls are quite thin and Im certain our neighbours would hear me. So I done a bit of research, found this site and after taking the on line test/questionaire, was advised of the most suitable device, so I went ahead and ordered and made it my new year resolution to try it out. WHY DIDNT I DO THIS BEFORE! I'm not even 2 weeks in, and the effect was immediate! First night it felt very strange in my mouth, but I actually kept it in all night. I had an ok nights sleep, and woke up to a dumb struck husband, who's first words to me were "it actually works, you didn't snore once!" I was so pleased 😆 My problem is that I have an over bite and my airwaves were getting blocked in any position while sleeping. I had set the device with the bottom jaw quite forward and needed to adjust it back slightly, as first morning I had jaw ache on left side. So the second night was much better. I do experience a little jaw ache on that left side while eating, but this seems to be gradually easing each day. I can put up with that! So it's not even 2 weeks and I am already used to having the device in my mouth at night and both me and my husband are getting such a good night's sleep. I feel refreshed, and dont feel tired in the day. I couldnt be happier!
Yet to be convinced

I took your snoring test, and the advice was that I should use a MAD, so I bought the SomnoGuard. Getting it set up was relatively straightforward. Having it in my mouth felt strange at first, but it did not stop me for too long from getting to sleep. When I awoke after a couple of hours, however, there was an ache in the joints of my lower jaw, and I could not easily get back to sleep again. I am trying to use it for longer periods, but it is not proving easy. So I tend to use it only for periods during nights on which my nose is more blocked than usual (I suffer with hay fever throughout the summer months). From my wife's point of view, it certainly stops me snoring while I have got it in; but wearing it is still giving me more disturbed sleep. I shall keep trying.

I thought I wasn't sleeping well. I kept waking up unrefreshed and tired. I often felt I was waking myself. My husband and I had taken to separate beds due to us both snoring! However, we had a holiday away when he realised I was waking myself, becoming distressed by not breathing properly. I did not act on this occasion. We went away again and I did it again and we then realised I probably was experiencing sleep apnoea attacks. I researched the various products and decided the sonnoguard ap would be my best option, as I wanted to be able to breath through my mouth if necessary. I watched the video several times. I would advise anyone fitting the appliance to take their time, play the video and keep to it step by step. I got a really good fit straight away, only needing to smooth an edge with hot water. The appliance has changed my life. I sleep so much better, more deeply and I remain asleep. I feel much better in myself now I'm getting quality sleep. It is very expensive for what it is. However, for me it has been worth every penny.

OK in most ways, but I could probably do with a bigger one. This was not offered, nor was there any guidance as to what size a medium mouth was. Sometimes causes salivating, and can slip out at night. Good that it arrives quickly, and is much faster than going through the hospital.

This arrived and was fairly easy to set up, if the instructions are followed to the letter, all the associated instruments are fairly small so you need to be careful not to 'lose' them. I have used the mouth guard for two weeks now. Although it started out reasonably well, in fact, better than the other two I bought, in the past few days, I have started to snore loudly again much to my wife's annoyance.I have made several small adjustments to increase the effectiveness of the mouth guard. The final adjustment I made started to put too much pressure on my teeth, so I had to revert back to a smaller adjustment. I will play around with the adjustments to see if there is a position that works best, and maybe re review it then. Not sure what other options I have, if this doesn't work. and my gut feel is, that the mouth guard will cease to be effective once my mouth gets used to the various adjustments I have made.

Having been relegated to the spare room on several occasions the final straw came when I left my had to leave my gf house and go home to mine because my snoring was so bad. I used a snoring recording app both with and without the guard and safe to say... I've been welcomed back to bed
Took a bit of time....but good now

Being really honest, from the get-go, I was a very reluctant buyer. The thought of wearing this in bed with my wife was a real passion killer and I've tried loads of things to stop my snoring but alas, I'm getting old ....and shit happens. That and the threats of suffocation with a pillow from her indoors meant I dusted off my PayPal account.Moulding was easy, followed the instructions on the youtube vid, straight forward. I've tried to find the magic squirting cleaner the chap uses in the video but to no avail. I just use my toothbrush which works well. What wasn't so easy was the adjustment....I started off with the lower mould WAY too far forward and, as a result, had 2 very uncomfortable nights with pain in my lower jaw and teeth the following day. Over the next few days I adjusted back more and more and have now found a pretty comfortable position. In hindsight, it would have been better to do it the other way around and I would recommend new users do that i.e. start with the moulds aligned and then push the lower one forward until you stop snoring.BTW, the saliva tsunami will subside after a couple of weeks use but it never disappears......taking it out in the morning is not something to do in front of your better half! All in all, I am better off with this than without. I sleep better, my wife sleeps better and hence my life is better overall.
