I have used the somnoguard 3 before and found it definitely helped with my mild sleep apnoea, but was difficult to get a good fit- eventually after a year of (not every night) use it became too slack and could not reshape it. I Bought the AP version recently, it definitely fits better and has adjustment for increasing advancement. The harder carrier makes it easier to mold and retain its shape. The only problem I had was my upper gum being slightly scalded by the heat during fitting, and my lower front teeth becoming sensitised for a week after, so wait a few seconds longer than the recommended time for it to cool ! Does not feel as bulky in the mouth as it looks and initial aches go away quite quickly - works very well for me !
Somno guard AP - works for me. Usually!

I have tried just about every anti snoring product that is around. I am not a "nasal" scorer. This device surprised me because it worked. ( didn't on a couple of occasions after a night on the town) but even then the better half said it was better than with none at all. I bought the metal Hannibal lector device for almost a thousand pounds a few years ago and this new plastic device has out performed that easily. Recommended. ( I also have a bit of apnea and this product also helps there I am told). AS WITH ALL DEVICES OF THIS TYPE IT IS A BIT UNCOMFORTABLE. DONT BIN IT BECAUSE OF THAT. ITS BETTER THAN MOST.
Took a bit of time....but good now

Being really honest, from the get-go, I was a very reluctant buyer. The thought of wearing this in bed with my wife was a real passion killer and I've tried loads of things to stop my snoring but alas, I'm getting old ....and shit happens. That and the threats of suffocation with a pillow from her indoors meant I dusted off my PayPal account.Moulding was easy, followed the instructions on the youtube vid, straight forward. I've tried to find the magic squirting cleaner the chap uses in the video but to no avail. I just use my toothbrush which works well. What wasn't so easy was the adjustment....I started off with the lower mould WAY too far forward and, as a result, had 2 very uncomfortable nights with pain in my lower jaw and teeth the following day. Over the next few days I adjusted back more and more and have now found a pretty comfortable position. In hindsight, it would have been better to do it the other way around and I would recommend new users do that i.e. start with the moulds aligned and then push the lower one forward until you stop snoring.BTW, the saliva tsunami will subside after a couple of weeks use but it never disappears......taking it out in the morning is not something to do in front of your better half! All in all, I am better off with this than without. I sleep better, my wife sleeps better and hence my life is better overall.
Works well but!?

The tomed SomnoGuard AP has worked well but I have broken the longer screw as well as a replacement one twice. At around £7 to £8 pounds for replacement screws, one of which would be too small anyway I think is a bit pricey. If the longer screw was more robust I really would give this product a 10 out of 10. Given an option to buy two long screws would be the icing on the cake. Ummm any chance of buying two long screws pretty please.

This product has changed my sleeping life. I get a much deeper, and therefore better, quality of sleep, which leaves me (and my long suffering husband) less tired and with more energy each day. It has really worked for me.

Done the snore test which was very helpful. It l takes a few nights to get used to but my wife will vouch it is definitely worth the money. Only slight criticism is if you have large over bite the adjustment I feel could be improved.

Hi everyone, This device has definitely helped me reduce my snoring sometimes entirely I still do snore when on my back but this is easily corrected once i go on my side. I'm a prolific snorer and if it works for me it will work for anybody. Firstly i must say getting the device to mould to your mouth is paramount. If it isn't then it will be useless for you. Secondly make sure you give yourself time to adapt to it as it takes a week or so and you have a bit of a sore mouth in the morning. That will ease over time. I have also got the added benefit of feeling fresher in the morning which i am delighted about and i don't fall asleep anymore in the evening as i've more energy and feel a little fresher. The downside to this device is that if its not correctly fitted and you refit it a few times cutting and moulding will deteriorate the device to a point where it will be useless. Im on my second one now after 6 months and I know it costs a lot but its pennies in comparison to night's sleep for my partner. I did spend a lot of time playing with it trying to get the screw right and the mould cut correct but i over did it and it lost on performance. Ive Bruxism too so im particularly sore on the screws and the can get bent easily if you push it out to its maximum. I needed it extended as far as it goes because of my snoring. The screws are really expensive though. I also tried the cheaper model but found it a waste of 50 pounds. Definitely go for this one as its well worth the money and a good night's sleep for you and your partner.

Over the last couple of years my snoring has got progressively worse. My Wife has struggled to get a decent nights sleep for some time now, and by the end of the night, one of us would be in another room; it was time to do something about my snoring. After seeing an ENT Consultant, I was advised to try a Mandibular Advancement Device (MAD) and chose to try the Tomed SomnoGuard AP. Though the device is easy to fit, I did take the advice from the instructions, and had my dentist do the fitting, which took 15 minutes. Three weeks on, and I can say that I have not snored once, and my Wife and I both get a night of quality sleep. It does take a few nights to get use to the MAD, and in the first week, my teeth ached slightly, and my jaw was sore for a couple of hours in the morning, however persevering with this for a few days is well worth the effort. I now wake up without aching teeth or soreness in my jaw, and my Wife is next to me in the morning.

It seems to be working! Have had no complaints about being kept awake at night by my snoring. Not too uncomfortable and you get used to it. I can't say I sleep any longer but at least i feel that the sleep I have makes me feel more rested the next day.

The snore test recommended this guard. I hesitated buying it because of the price but my wife tells me it was well worth it! Fitting the guard was straightforward and inevitably it took a little getting used to wearing it but only a couple of nights. Now accustomed to wearing it. It has certainly worked for me and those around me.
