I tried these after I couldn't get on with the Somni Snore Guard - I just didn't like a lump of plastic in my mouth when I was falling asleep and would try and wait until the last minute to put it in, which meant I often fell asleep without it! So the next step was these strips and I've adapted to them much better. My partner says it hasn't eliminated my snoring, but it's much quieter and in shorter bursts. And I can't really "forget" to put them on. I'm still not massively keen because they do pull on my face and pull the skin down from my eyes, and I end up with deep lines in the morning, so I'm not sure they're very good for your skin. But I think of the health benefits to my teeth, gums, mouth and heart and this motivates me. If you buy them in bulk they're quite good value as well. I am really grateful to this website because my sister asked her GP what she could do about snoring and she was told "nothing". I like the fact there are several different options so you can try them out until you find the right one for you. My partner and I did try the snore tests but couldn't really work out whether I was a mouth breather or not, so we just tried the cheapest option and went from there...
chin up strips

Chin up strips have solved my lifetime of sleep interrupted problems, I always knew what the problem was, just not how to solve it, until now.

I fell asleep whilst driving and have subsequently had an overnight sleep study which showed that my oxygen levels had been maintained overnight (possibly due to the fact that I did not sleep normally in a hospital bed)! This is the only product I have found that keeps my mouth closed at night. I had bought them previously from Amazon but buying in bulk is cheaper. They are a bit fiddly to begin with but they do work well. I would reccommend these strips to any mouth breather that snores loudly.

I rate these strips highly, i am an open mouthed "fly catcher" snorer who has found these strips cured me straight away. My husband is a lght sleeper and i nolonger wake him. My local chemist has stopped supplying them at £3.00/10pack so i am looking for an alternative supplier. They seem expensive on this site so i will keep looking but i am desperate to find some soon because my supply is low. They are expensive but if you can afford them they do the job perfectly.
Pros and cons of Chin ups
on the 7th Aug 2008
They have significantly reduced, but not eliminated my snoring. The strips are very fragile and tear easily during application which is costly. It would be fantastic if you could reuse them and be tougher but even if you buy in bulk its becomes quite expensive especially when you are a pensioner. 40p each when you buy 30, £65 for 200 is a big amount to pay all at once. My rating takes all my comments into consideration.

In the main these do work they did reduced, but not entirely eliminated my snoring. Perhaps some more weight loss may achieve this! Disadvantages, can leave red marks on your face when taken off. Always interesting when work colleagues ask what the marks are!

After trying sprays, nasal strips etc this is the best product for mouth snorers, I can recomend this, it has saved my marriage and many digs in the ribs. My life saver.
Bottoms up to Chin Ups

I cannot begin to explain how important Chin-ups are to me. I am a mouth-breathing Sleep Aponea sufferer who is unable to wear a full face mask and must therefore use a nasal mask every night. As any mouth-breather knows using a nasal mask is a complete waste of time, but when used in conjunction with Chin-ups a whole new dimension opens up. A liitle bit of forethough and preparation each night before bed affords me 7 or 8 hours of real sleep each night. Chin-ups saved my life as before this I was averaging one hour of sleep per night for over 12 months! Chin-ups are amazingly simple to use and yet provide so much, so easily.

I found these strips worked brilliantly for me. I enjoy good nights sleep and always take them on holiday with when I have to share a room with my traveling pals. No complaints or various items thrown at me anymore. Uunfortunately my chemist where I used to purchase them do not stock them anymore hence my trying the web site.

Definitely keeps your mouth closed. Unfortunately I found out I am snoring even with my mouth closed so it did not help me. I would recommend buying the 10 pack first to try them. I will try using nasal dilators.
