Review : Being conscious of my partners sleeping habits made me realise she wasn't getting good sleep. If wasn't me waking her up with my snoring it was the baby...so something had to be done. The somnoguard works for those that tend to snore from the throat due to the relaxing of the flesh in the trachea as the lower jaw drops towards the neck as you sleep (lower teeth fall well behind the upper teeth). This item has taken about three weeks to get used to. The first couple of nights I had to take the guard out half way through the night due to the aching in my jaw. The following day I could tell my lower jaw had been forced forward for a long period of time...but my partner said I didn't snore until I took the guard out, so I persisted with the guard. Now I don't notice it at all now my teeth have got use to the pressure of the lower teeth tending to pressurise the top teeth as the lower jaw try's to pull back. The secret is to make sure you support the lower chin to keep your mouth closed, but not your lips as you'll need the air hole to help you breath during the night. I won't do without one now, for the first couple of weeks its like wearing a brace but now its unnoticeable. Be good if they made them so they glowed up at night, just for a laugh.

Review : First the moulding was strange, but I got it right first time. A strange feeeling in the morning as my lower teeth are behind my upper teeth when biting and lower teeth felt 'pulled' in the morning. My partner (the main benefactor) states that although the snoring has not disappeared it most definitely is much quieter and not as prolonged with all the other noises inbetween. She is sleeping more soundly even without ear plugs that she used to often wear at night. So, a major improvent and benefit for my partner. She is hoping that with more time (it has only been two week) that the snoring will lessen even more and hopefully disappear. Time will now tell!

Review : This s the second Somnoguard I have bought. Fitting needs a little care, but it does not need to be scientifically accurate to the nearest millimetre. I got used to it after the first night and it really did cure my snoring - reputedly so loud that I could be heard next door! Not only did it cure my snoring immediately but it also ended the disturbed sleep and waking with a sore throat. Excellent product, does what is says on the tin, would not be without it any longer.
