First night fantastic! Much relieved mutterings from my girlfriend. Second night, girlfriend still very happy, my septum was a bit tender. Third night, ditched it in the middle of the night, girlfriend no longer happy, my septum very unhappy. BUT READER, READ ON... At my girlfirend's suggestion, having let things heal a bit, I applied some aloe vera lip balm before inserting the dilator. Bingo!!! Also by angling the clip towards the lower section of the nostril a more comfortable fit was achieved avoiding the bonier part of the septum. You do have to play about with the dilating flaps a bit to get a good fit that won't pop out. All-in-all very happy with the product. If on occasions things do get a bit sore, I use a nasal strip for a few nights and then return to the dilator. Hope this helps others.
