It was recommended that I try the chin-up strips because I was having some problems with my cpap. During the night my jaw would drop causing air to gush out of my mouth. This not only affected the quality of my sleep but the noise also woke my wife. I've been using the strips for a few months now and have found them very effective, however, even with my jaw held up I still sometimes get air escaping through my lips. On occasions I actually stick the strips accross my lips which cures this issue just fine. The only problen I've had is due to the extreme stickiness of the strips. They don't seem too sticky when you first put them on but by the morning they are well and truly stuck. This has resulted in some irritation to the skin on my face and the odd sore. If you follow the instructions in the pack and use a small amount of vaseline on the skin before applying the strip then this is no problem at all. Don't put too much on though or you'll never get the strip to stick!
