livation, a little bit of discomfort in the jaw where it had been in the forward position all night - but negligible. Nights 2 and 3 just the same so he's very happy as it has improved his sleep quality enormously.From a listeners point of view it was a little different from the original one piece device which totally cut out and breath sounds and snoring. The Tomed SomnoGuard does allow a bit of mouth breathing so at leat I knew he was alive, but he did whistle a bit to start with when sleeping on his back. A little encouragement to turn around and sleep on his side and all was quiet and we both had a peaceful night. The noise of snoring is what upsets most partners, but it's the detrimental effect on health that should most concern people. This is such a good device we have already recommended it to a friend who has placed an order.
