My SA and my wife snoring

Post by Guest » Tue Mar 22, 2016 8:51 pm

Hi
Been a long time since I posted on here, I was diagnosed with SA about 7 years ago and have since used CPAP and now have APAP and for me at least everything is fine.

However now my wife has started snoring very badly and so much so I have had to move bedrooms. She drops off quicker than I do so usually starts straight away but even if I do get off I inevitably get woken at some point in the night then despite the noise from my APAP Machins and earplugs in both ears !

I tried her with one of my Chinstraps but that didn't work so I am not at a loss as to why because she snores on her side and her back.

She is 59 and not overweight so are there any suggestions we would both be grateful !

thanks

Go along to your doctor. Go along with her for support.

Otherwise, try her with your APAP machine :)

Try some nasal dilators to help with her breathing - this works for a surprising amount of people
