well done ellie, try and make a list of all your symptoms before cpap, and grade them according to severity, on a 1 to 5 scale, example if sleeping every time you just sit down and relax, grade it a 5 yet if infrequant it could be 3 and of course if not happening, it will be 1. You also could add that as 1 for a 5 if not having the energy, yet 1 if full of energy, so on and so on.

That way you will also see some measure of improvemnt. if you search for the epworth scale, you will find more alternatives, but if you also include compliance issues, such as mask problems, or skin problems, you may well aid your cognitive skills of getting attached, after all from experience if you are a caring sensitive person as your posts do give evidence to, it is not an easy task in gaining trust in a man made machine showing no sensitivity to your needs.

Play about with wording and publicise it on your journal, so other new users, can gain from your experience.

well done ellie your last two journal commenst suggest you are getting on with it, nad making a friend of "that man made machine."

Many years ago when working and managing a large case load I seriously looked at the issue of compliance with drugs, ironic I found many similar links to the emotional attachment theory we go through as children, all to often we blame ourselves, yet others in the clinical field often do not accept their own responsibility.

Keep playing you are achieving!
